FLVS Foundation STARBASE Brains on Hands on Stem Summer Camp Kicks off for Year Two!
FLVS Foundation and STARBASE kick off on its third STEM camp for underrepresented students for upcoming fifth and eighth graders. Students will have the opportunity to learn about Science, Technology, engineering, and Math on July 22 - 26th at the STARBASE lab. Each student who has partaken in the camp has shown extreme proficiency and interest in STEM. Stay tuned for more testimonies from the camp!
FLVS Foundation Joins the Consortium of Florida Education Foundations
The FLVS Foundation is pleased to share that as result of the support of Florida Representative Susan Plasencia and FLVS team members, the Foundation has statutorily been defined as a member of the Consortium of Florida Education Foundations. The Consortium will match up to $104,000 of funds raised by Sept. 1, 2024. The funds need to focus on projects that fall within at least one of the priority areas:
· Literacy
· Low Performing Students
· Increasing Graduation Rates
· Teaching Quality
· Career and Technical Education
· STEM Education
Joining the Consortium broadens the scope of innovative opportunities for expanding Foundation programs. The Foundation is collaborating with FLVS team members to strategize program development and engage potential donors and investors.
FLVS Foundation Corporate Newsletter Sponsorship
FLVS Foundation is introducing a new section to our monthly newsletter – The Corporate Newsletter Sponsorship, where organizations will be able to sponsor a section of the newsletter to share educational support advertisements and relevant information to our teachers and staff.
